Hunter's The Hair Stylist

Hunter was so proud of his hair do. He did it all by himself. I have a great hairstylist on my hands. Following in my footsteps :) I love it.

As you can see Bryton is really enjoying this ice cream cone. I was actually sharing this cone with him, but some how he took it away from me and went to town eating it. He loved it!

Here are some Halloween Pictures of Hunter and Bryton. Some of these pictures are of Hunter's school Halloween party. Hunter painted his face all by himself, he did a great job! Hunter was a Star Wars trooper and Bryton was a dragon. Hunter did a lot of trick or treating and Bryton had fun being his dad and Nana. Clay said that he enjoyed answering the door for the trick or treaters. Bryton would race him to the door to see them. Next year should be even better.

Grandpa Wood

One month ago today my wonderful Grandpa Wood passed away. It has been so very hard to lose him. He was a great man and a great grandpa to me and my boys. He was 95 years old and he has been like a dad to us for the 18 years when my dad died. He took great care of my mom and all of us kids up to the day he died. The day before he died I called my sister and told her that she should come say goodbye in case he died. She came down to see him and 30 minutes before we were going to go see him, my aunt called and said he died. We went to see him anyway and said goodbye. It was so hard to see him like that. Then that night I went to the mortuary and gave him his last hair cut. That was the hardest thing I have ever had to do but I knew that I wanted to be the one that did it. He always asked me to cut his hair and I knew that he wanted it done before he died and I feel bad that he was too sick for me to cut it. I love him and will miss him so much. I feel a little selfish in thinking that I still want him here, but I know that he is now my dad (his son) and my grandma. What a joyous reunion that must of have been. I would love to have seen the great big smile my dad had on his face when he was reunited with his dad. I love and miss all of them and I am so grateful to have had them in my life and my boys life. Till we meet again.

Yesterday I turned on Hunter's Primary songs and Bryton started to sing and dance. He was a lot louder at singing but I grabbed the camara a little late. But you get his funny dance move. He loves to sing with the music but he tends to be louder than the music. He can entertain anyone for hours.

Hunter's Payback

Bryton's favorite thing to do is sit on you. If you lay on the floor he will run up and sit on your back or head depending on his mood. Hunter's favorite thing to do is torment his brother, so Bryton finally had enough and and sat on his head. I told Hunter payback, it's coming and it will only get worse when he gets older. Hunter thinks it's funny for now. They do like to have fun. :)

Happy 5th Anniversay (Sept. 11th)

It has been a long a hectic week, in which I almost forgot to wish Clay a Happy Anniversary and late on posting our picture.
Anyway.....
Clay and I have been married 5 years and together just about 8 years. I can't believe how fast our 5 years has gone. We have had our ups and downs and crashes and whirlwinds and we are still here and going strong. We have 2 wonderful boys and love spending time as a family. I love Clay for what a great dad he is. No matter how hectic the day or week or how tired he is, he always finds time to spend with his boys. I love how he gets down and plays with them like he is a kid again. I know the boys love him. I love Clay for a great husband he is. He can see when I am at my limit and ready to break down. I love that he tells me to take is easy or take rest for a while. I love that he helps me with the house cleaning and helps me with the boys. I especially love the fact that he is so supportive of my relationship with my mom. I love that he helps her and knows that she loves him like he is her son. I love that during the most stressful time for me he has been there to fill in at home when I can't be there. I love going on our once in a while quick dinner dates or motorcycle rides. I love the fact that he puts up with me and my nagging. Even though he may not express how he feels, I can look at him and know that he loves me and is there for me. I love you so much, thanks for 5 wonderful years.

Hunter's first day of Kindergarten. Hunter was so excited to go to Kindergarten today it was so cute. He picked out his outfit the night before and when he woke up he got dressed and he wanted to do his own hair for school. He is mister independant. But doesn't he look great!!

Hunter wanted me to draw hearts on his hands for school, so he could remember that mom and dad love him. Isn't that sweet!!

Yes the Steelers backpack. We couldn't let him go to school without a Steelers backpack. Lucy bought this backpack for him and he was so excited to use it for school. Hunter knows how to start school right!! :)

Update on Round 2

Bryton went to Primary Childrens and had his year check up on his Kidneys. We are proud to say that things are going great. He went from a level 5 to a level 1. We can now stop giving him his medicine and then we go back to Primary Childrens in another year for another check up to make sure that is continuing to get better. Yeah!!!

He loved his dump truck cake, he just wouldn't eat it. Yes I made the cake. Clay helped me with the carving and I decorated it. My first big cake that I made. Not bad huh? He had a great birthday and we enjoyed seeing him with his presents. I just can't believe he is one already.

Bryton's 1st Shiner

Bryton got his first shiner the other day. He was crawling around on our bed and a pillow slid off of the bed and he hit his eye on our night stand. He got a huge goose egg at first and he wouldn't let us put ice on it. Over the next couple of days it turned into a bad black eye. I feel so bad for him. He seems to be doing well with it, and it doesn't seem to bother him. I am just sad cause it looks horrible and I was going to get his pictures done. I guess it will have to wait. My tuff little guy, I love ya...

My Climber, YIKES!!

Bryton has figured out how to climb on things. He is very smart, he will use the walker to stand on to get up higher. He doesn't care that the walker moves when he stands on it, but I have been lucky and he hasn't fallen. I am also very lucky he hasn't climbed on the counter top yet. I know that one day he will.

Here is a video of Bryton walking. He has been doing this for a few days now, we just haven't had our camera ready. He is getting better at it and is getting more daring. He is also starting to walk farther each time. We are in for it now. :)

Bear Lake Fun

On Saturday we went to Bear Lake for the day. The weather was cloudy but it was still a nice day. The water was freezing as usual but both of the kids had fun. Bryton didn't know what to think of the sand or the water at first, but he has a blast to.

Fouth of July

Here are some pictures of us during the 4th of July. We went up to USU and watched the fireworks, then the next day we went to Hyrum for the parade, then to end our festivities we went to the famous Cache Valley Cruise In. The kids had so much fun. It was a busy weekend. Let's do it again..:)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM

This is my way back When-sday Picture and a very Happy (late) Birthday (July 7th) to my mom.
My mom is the greatest person you'll ever meet. I want her to know that I love her and I'm so grateful for all she does for us. My mom is such a strong person, no matter what life throws at her she faces it head on with no hesitation. She had to deal with loosing a husband in a car accident, leaving her at home with 2 14 year old, a son on a mission and 3 older kids. She is an amazing person, I don't know how she kept herself going dealing with that tragedy. She moved to Utah in 2001 to be closer to her children. She had to deal with my brothers divorce and 4 years later still having to deal with the stress of the divorce. She has to deal with me having a child before I was married and with all the stress of that. The list could go on and on.
I am most grateful for the wonderful Nana she is to all 20 grand kids. She is close to all of them and she always remembers their birthdays and Christmas. I look up to my mom she has been thrown so many obstacles and she is still going to this day with her head held high. She is my best friend and I love that we talk everyday. I would be lost if it wasn't for her. She welcomed my husband Clay into our family and she is being the mom that he never had. She is more of a mom that his ever was or will be, she feels the pain he feels and treats him so wonderfully. I love her for that. The list could go on and on. But I want her to know I wish her a very happy birthday and I love you so much and I look forward to our daily phone calls. I am so lucky my kids have a great grandparent, they love you and love being with you. Thanks for all you do and for being a great mom. We all love you!!!

Happy Father's Day

Hunter did a great job singing Clay a father's day song. Hunter loves to sing to us, infact he told me this morning to get the camara ready because he was going to sing a father's day song. Happy Father's day Clay we love you and we hope you had a great day.

Baby Duck Rescue

A couple of days ago we had this mama duck with all of her little babies in our front yard. All the little kids were loving it, and they tried to feed them bread, but they didn't want any. We then found out that one of the little babies had fallen into the storm drain and so the rescue began. We tried to get it out ourselves but it wasn't working, so we had called animal control and it took him about 10 minutes to capture the duck. It kept going across the street well under the street but it kept moving to both sides. He finally got it and took it to a safer place. The momma duck took off with the rest of her babies so we couldn't give her lost little one. It doesn't end there. After animal control left we heard another little duck in a different storm drain. So we had to call animal control back to come and rescue this baby. This rescue was a lot faster and he put the baby duck with it's sibling. It was sad but I am glad they were both ok. It sure did create a lot of excitement for the neighborhood.

Vacuum helper

This is how we vacuum at our house. Brtyon loves to help with the vacuuming, as soon as he hears the vacuum turn on, he starts heading for the vacuum. As you can see, he is a big helper. I love it!!

Snuggling

A little time together for my boys. It is so fun to see them cuddle with each other. They are both bed hogs, but I think Bryton won this round. My boys are the cutest!!! Love ya

Hunter Scores!!

We finally got Hunter on camara as he scores a goal. He has done really well with soccor this year, he has scored about 1 goal per game. Good job Hunter!!!!
